This past Sunday, I took a stroll around Massachusetts Avenue to do a bit of last minute Christmas shopping. On my way back to my car, I snagged a shot of the minaret at the Old National Centre and an apartment building along the Cultural Trail named the Aviary.

This image shows the iconic Murat Shrine, now known as the Old National Centre in downtown Indianapolis. The focus is on its Moorish Revival architectural elements, including a tall, striped minaret with intricate details, green accents, and a crescent-topped dome on the right. The sky provides a serene backdrop with scattered clouds, enhancing the building’s striking features.
A brick apartment building called The Aviary, located in downtown Indianapolis along the Cultural Trail. The building features a symmetrical design with central double doors, two balconies, and decorative brickwork, under a sky with soft clouds at sunset.

  1. I’ve actually been to a party there at that apartment! It was nice, and the view was mostly good. It overlooked a parking lot, but you could see into the distance a bit.

    1. That’s awesome! I’ve sadly never been inside of that building. It looks so pretty on the outside, and I’m jealous of those porches.
